We're under 100 days now until the cruise...we're under 90 days until the cruise! OH WOW!!!! crazy!!! So excited and so not prepared all at the same time, you'd think I've not been on this ride before!!

Stacey and I got 5* Plus for the Minneapolis show. I'm dragging my hubby to the Houston show with me...I'll report back when there's more to report back...right now it's just waiting for new music, cruise control and giggling with my girls!

Justin Bieber goes four-for-four at Sunday night's American Music Awards, but the true takeaway was that New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys put on a combined performance to end the show and indeed show Bieber how to rock it, 90s style.

Starting with Bieber, he won entertainer of the year, breakthrough artist of the year, favorite pop/rock male and favorite pop/rock album for My World 2.0. "I come from the smallest town in the world, of like 30,000 people; I never thought this was possible," he gushed, before paying tribute to the late King of Pop. "I want to thank Michael Jackson, because without Michael Jackson none of us would be here."

But nothing was going to stop the joint juggernaut that we are hereby all obliged to acknowledge as NKOTBSB. The boybands, who have teamed up in more ways than one as they will be embarking on a joint tour next summer, performed a medley for the ages. Backstreet Boys chipped in with "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)", "I Want It That Way", and "Larger Than Life" whereas New Kids offered up "Step By Step", and "You Got It (The Right Stuff.)" (sadly, there was no room for NKOTB's finest moment, "Games.")

Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter said he's honored to share a stage with his musical forefathers. "We appreciate and respect everything that these guys have done for the music industry, and now it's just great to be together. I think that's what's awesome."

You know what's awesome, Nick? Your teaming up with NKOTB is the modern equivalent of Messrs. McCartney and Jagger deciding that there might be interest in The Beatles and Rolling Stones doing something similar. Except NKOTBSB can bring dance routines and way better hairlines into this particular equation. NewsFeed, along with the rest of the enraptured world (that includes you, Bieber) will hold onto its hat and declare that the boy band is well and truly dead, replaced by the man band. Resistance, as always, is futile.

Now while BSB and NKOTB hit some sour notes (really though, who didn't) they KILLED it! Did you hear the crowd? Did you see them on their feet. Did you see the smiled and happiness of those people dancing and singing along? That's the power of a boyband. A little indulgence in a simple melody that brings happiness to your heart and a smile to your face. Not to mention incredible eye candy and some killer moves on the dance floor.

I do think they could have giving a little more space between Joe and Jordan--poor Jordan's mic was being hit by Joey's elbow! :) And how did awesome did Step 4 sound with the combined vocals of Joe and Nick? WOW loved it.

And while it was a little cheesy to bring back the Right Stuff dance...I can't imagine how it could have gone down without it! :) Let's face it... ALL YOU PEOPLE CAN'T YOU SEE, CAN'T YOU SEE N-K-O-T-B-S-B...that's stuck in your head isn't it? ;o) They gots skills, I tell ya!

I'm so excited to see the concert this summer I'm willing to shell out big bucks to get it done..damn them! :)

Just when I thought this ride was winding down, they drop the joint tour on us. Now you have to understand me...I'm a Boy Band Junkie!!! Seriously, my love for boybands started with NKOTB, when they left the scene I found happiness in both NSync and BSB....this joint tour is going to be phenomenal. While I know in my head it's CRAZY to fork out over 500 bucks on a night...I can't help but think...I'm totally going to oh and hey, pssst...I'm dragging Stacey down with me.

Why? Because I can't say no to this. I can't. Why? Because the plain fact of the matter is this: This ride is going to end. It will end, they'll fade back away and I'll be waiting for one more show, one more cruise, one more....and it won't come. I'm not going to live in regret, I'm not going to live with "If I'd only gone that one time--" Life is short. Money is there to be made, I hate my job, but I love the rewards I'm able to reap by sticking it out. When I pay off that visa card with the cruise on it, and step on that boat...it'll be no regrets because this ride ain't over yet!!!

I am fully aware I'm extremely blessed to have 1) a cooperative husband. 2) A Job 3) the ability to spend my paychecks on whatever I want without having to justify it to anyone. I know many people aren't as fortunate...I'm sorry for them. I wish everyone was able to enjoy every moment, every city, every opportunity that they wished to experience...but let's be real. We all live in the real world where bills come in, payments are due, some are single parents, some have husbands that don't/won't understand, some just don't have the money. I hope you can at least find your way to a show near you--even if it's the nose-bleed seats (If you want to) but ya know even if you can't make it to a show, I hope you can ride along, live vicariously through those that can and be at peace with that.

Blue Bloods is on...CBS Friday's 9 pm central time. We all know that means we get a weekly dose of Donnie Wahlberg. I love twitter. I love that New Kids tweet us daily. I love the communication and devotion they give to us fans. Donnie tweets ALL the time, working, playing, day off, at a concert, on the red carpet...the love is just oozing from that man. I love him! I love this amazing way to stay in touch. I wonder what life would have been like in the early 90's if we had twitter to communicate with them...would they have used it? Probably not, they were probably too busy. :)

Anyway--what a great way to get a little insight on who they really are. Jon's personality is so different from how I peg him years ago, I love reading his tweets, trying to figure out the riddle behind the words. His pictures crack me up. Stretching with Jordan...I think we should all get on that boat in 2011 and just reach for the sky, put our hands out and then bend over and wiggle at him. Hey the man asked for it. :)

Don't get me started on Donnie. I love him! Seriously he is always there, always reaching out, always letting us know how much we mean to him. Have I mentioned, I love him!?

Mad dash for a spot

Stacey and I are heading back onto the big boat in May if we can snag a spot! wish us luck!! This year it's 4 days instead of 3. A beach day and a day at the port in Nassau. I can't believe they extended it a day!! So exciting!

I've been missing my NKOTB for a while so with rumors of no new album or tour planned I was hoping it wasn't the end of the ride for us. I'm thrilled to be able to go on the boat again!! I'm back on the weight loss wagon. I moved and that month between being in the old house and trying to close on it and moving and planning closing on the new house was stressful and I wasn't watching as carefully as I should have been so I gained and gained and gained....WHAAAA! now it's back to the gym...being sore and trying not to be critical of myself. I know though that I want feel great on this cruise!

Tickets go on sale at 10 am...I gotta be ready to snatch up a spot as soon as possible, like all the other girls. Stacey won't even be able to help out cuz she has to pick up her son at 10...3 HOURS away! LOL...OH the stress! :D

Be ready Donnie, Jordan, Jon, Joe and Danny---cuz here were come!

Cruise Review Day One

Hey! It's been a while since I've posted anything on this blog, I've seriously just been too lazy or just forgot about ya'll, I'm so sorry!! If you are a follower then you know I was blessed to be able to go on the 2nd annual NKOTB cruise!!! Unfortunately my bestest buddy and co-blogger, Stacey wasn't able to go this year...I hope she can make it next year because I want to go so badly and I want to share it with her too!!

Since Stacey couldn't go I found another roomie, KG (we've posted about Krystal in past posts) went with me. I headed to Ft. Lauderdale early to meet up with my mom....who left the same day Krystal arrived. All-in-all I was gone for 10 glorious days!!!

I know what your thinking, yeah yeah, blah blah blah...get to the good stuff, right?! Ok then! Let's start this trip and do a recap!

KG and I are hanging out in the hotel, we'd pre-arranged an airport to sea port shuttle and were told that it left every half hour. At quarter to 8 in the morning the phone rings....it's the guy from the shuttle service (I'm so getting you the name so you will NEVER EVER EVER use them!!!) this rude man was yelling that we were supposed to be at the airport at 8 am and we were to go and wait and not move and blah blah blah....well sorry Charlie but we still had to finish packing and return the rental car and hike through the airport with luggage we could hardly move! 4 calls from Mr. Rude and 1 hour later we were told to wait and not move and keep our cell phone on, he'd call us back....click! Seriously--SUPER RUDE!!! so after that we planted out butts down, no way were we going to miss our shuttle to SS NKOTB!

Thankfully the driver of the shuttle wasn't the man on the phone, he was actually pretty nice and oddly enough ate like 8 banana's while we drove the 40 minutes to the port. Weird company!! He did say he'd like to get rid of his wife for 3 days though! LOL...I'm sure she'd like SS NKOTB too....come one come all...just stay away from Donnie! :o)

So we arrive at the seaport and somehow among all the other girls there we're lead inside to wait with about 30 other girls. We managed to get through security quickly and proceed to hurry up and wait....(sound familiar?) but it was OK. We were on a "NO-DRAMA-WEEKEND" and so we just rolled with it. Soon though, New Kids come riding up the elevator and into VIP check-in. I'm so VIP I didn't even KNOW THEY HAD A VIP check-in! WTH!? LOL, I'm so not destined to be a rocker! Danny and Jon snuck in another way but we saw them too!!! Soon they left check in and headed up to the big boat!!! EEEKKKK!!! It was almost time for our adventure to begin!!!

We were group 2 to board the boat and being that it was early our rooms weren't ready yet, no problem we had a boat to explore!! But first, FOOD!!! so we headed up to get some food on the Lido Deck...we walk in and are face to face with Joey Mac! So what do we do...play it cool of course!! shoulder to shoulder, tray to tray with Joe we stroll down the line...it went a little something like this (I took notes that night--lol while it was still fresh!)

After we all say "Hey" "Hi" "Hello"

Joe: "Well what are they serving us today?" (He looks at the eggplant something or other) and said "Well might as well try it--shit where are the plates?"

Janelle: "Back there--"
Krystal: "Here ya go" (hands Joe a plate)

Joe: "Thanks"

Janelle: "So would it be rude to ask you for a photo when you're eating? It would, wouldn't it? Sorry, never mind" (thinking...ugh you loser, shut the hell up!!! Don't speak!! EVER!)

Joe: "Well I'm not eating yet....."

Long silence follows.....

Krystal "Awk---ward"

Everyone laughed and as Joe nears the end of the line he starts counting down his steps..."And 3, 2....1"

Janelle: "Go ahead, Run Joey....Run!" what a freakin' moron!!! what's my problem!?!? LMAO!!! I get to the end of the line a nano second later and pick up my tray and turn...right into DONNIE!!! still coming off my embarrassment from the Joe debacle I simply do a quick little right around Donnie and continue on my way. Krystal behind me says "Hi Donnie" and I'm thinking...why?! Why does he do that to me? Why does he render me speechless---and if I do have the brain power to speak it's always something completely stupid!

Ok first 20 minutes on the boat and 2 run-ins. This was freakin' awesome, even if I was an idiot! I managed to catch where the boys were sitting out of the corner of my eyes (Ok I was doing a little stalking/watching) but hey--don't pretend you wouldn't do the exact same thing!! So, ANYWAY!!! I move Krystal from her spot that she's picked out and tell her to move over to where we'd have a nice little direct line of access with to the boys. Bwhahahahahaha! She's too nervous to eat (I'm never too nervous for food, unfortunately!) so I'm actually eating my food while KG just plays with her's chanting how she's too nervous to eat....I realize I have forgotten my drink, I head up to get some lemonade and call Stacey on the way back to tell her of my run-in's. Suddenly I stop talking and say "I"ll call you back..." and hang up. Why? Because, Donnie had come out and he was taking pictures with a couple girls at a table I need to pass by to get to my own table. So being "polite" I wait until their done, then take a step only for the other girl to pop up and take a picture, so I back up again....and wait. Ahhhh finally she's done and Krystal is out of her seat and I'm being approached by Donnie. *THUNK* He just strolls ever-so-sexily over to me and grins down at me, puts his arm around my shoulders and then notices my necklace that Stacey made me last year....I see his hand raise up and head for my chest....and think...uhhh....OK. :D by all means, Donnie!! *ROWR* he points to my necklace and says "That's the cutest thing ever....I mean not, me the necklace" I wrap my arm around his waist and go "Oh no you are" and give him a squeeze...then Krystal says "Please can I get a picture of you two together?" (OMG that's soooo sweet!!!) and he says sure---Krystal takes his photo and I thank him and he moves on...*SIGH* seriously I could have gotten off that ship right then and there and been a happy camper!!! But wait....we head back to our seats and Jordan strolls out and grins from ear-to-sexy-ear, dimples flashing and strutting his stuff like he knows he's hot. Krystal (the ballsy one) says "Jordan can I get a pic with you? Please? Pretty please?" He's all "I have a meeting, I can't" I say "Oh but she said Pretty Please....how can you resist that?!" so he walks over, plops his cute lil ass on the arm of her chair and grins. I take a quick pic and ask if I can get one too...so KG and I switch spots and I get my picture! 30 minutes on the boat and 3 run ins!? are you kidding me?! *insert announcers voice now* But wait...there's more--if you sit here for another 5 minutes we'll throw in a Danny appearance too!!

Danny: "Hi ladies!"

Ladies: "Hi Danny!"

Danny: "Uh, have any of you seen my kids?"

Ladies "They went that way" *points to the left*

Danny: "Thanks! Have fun on the cruise" *turns and walks away.

What the hell? 4 guys in a half hour!? this cruise rocked all ready and we hadn't even left the port!

Thank you to all my friends who made my birthday a great one. It was want fun weekend of family, friends and of course NKOTB. It was nice to finally watch the DVD...okay so I must admit I did watch the cruise part as Janelle and I were on the cruise and part of the Cruise Q&A until my computer power was dwindling. :) If we would have watched a little further we would have seen that WE ARE ON THE DVD! EEEKK!!! Yes we are! How exciting is that? Well I will say it is exciting for us!

If you would have told my 9 year old self that almost 20 years later I would be coming face to face (“Or breasts to face in some instances.” — 6 ft. tall me) with New Kids on the Block, I probably would have slapped you in the face, slammed my door, slapped some bracelets on my wrists and spooned my body pillow for hours on end, weeping from nerves at the thought. Never really did have too many friends as a child.

Thankfully, NKOTB did not hold these awkward early years against me as they agreed to sit down with me for another installment of “Martini Minute.” The room was admittedly cramped over atLate Night with Jimmy Fallon, where we met merely hours before their solid Late Nightperformance.

And there they sat, the 5 of them — Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan and Jonathan Knight — looking hotter than I even remembered, and ready to bare all about what life was like on the road and beyond as one of America’s most beloved boy bands. We cover everything: Debbie Gibson, the fans, sexual point systems, kneetouches, upcoming gigs, and most importantly… rat tails.

Hangin’ Tough with the New Kids on the Block – at Fox!

Step By Step I’ll break it down (and promise to control my NKOTB song references), but the greatest hits do rush back when you sit-down with this group!

Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie and Danny all joined me in the studio just as the release of their new DVD “Coming Home” hits the shelves. The DVD documents their reunion and gives a behind the scenes look as the guys get back in the studio and hit the road with their fans. Donnie says folks will see they all do a share of playing the prankster and being the team leader, “anyone can be a practical joker, anyone can … run a situation, an interview, a rehearsal, a strategy session… we all sort of trade roles at different times.”

Meanwhile Jonathan adds they have the fans to thank for giving them momentum to keep this gig going, “I figured that we’d do the reunion and it would be this big build up and we go out and do our thing and then it would kind of die off. And it hasn’t, it hasn’t done that yet.”

It’s safe to say the actual “reuniting” days are done. They’re just back in business. And they’re looking ahead to much more in 2010 with show dates and even a second NKOTB cruise, which according to Donnie, is quite an amazing time “We’re basically five guys in the middle of the ocean with 2500 female fans, mostly female fans, and whether they’re with us or around us all 24 hours a day it doesn’t matter, they dive into the cruise atmosphere, they have a completely good time.”

As for reaching out to their fans, from the high seas or not, you can rest assured it’s them behind the texting. Joey says it’s actually pretty obvious, “It’s all us and we have a lot of fun with it, and the fans know that too and I think you can tell by the nature of our tweets.”

These days the group is putting their celebrity to good use, joining fellow artists for Planetohaiti.org to help victims of the Haiti earthquake. Donnie says the goal is to get supplies on the ground asap, “We directly donated money to send a plane to Haiti full of medical supplies and doctors and we’ve asked the fans, a group of artists have gone out to their fans to ask them, to help raise money to send the plane back. It’s a direct way to get people on the ground and doing something immediately to help.”

And for a quick trip down memory lane, I had to bring up all that merchandise – the posters, the lunch boxes, the list goes on. So I asked if they have any New Kids gear… it seems their new kids do! Danny’s 10 year old daughter got hold of one prized possession, “She found these stuffed animal dolls that, they came out, but it never really was sold to the public. The few people got them, and then they got pulled off the shelves because they’re pretty hideous. She still plays with it though.”

Also, we’re here at Fox and it’s American Idol season, so I asked the guys if they’re eyeing Simon’s soon to be open seat. It sounds like Joey may be willing to throw his hat in the ring, “I love it, I find myself talking to the camera sometimes… Some of the artists that go on there are great and they say exactly what you would want to say and some of them aren’t as engaged but just to be involved and see these kids and sometimes maybe give them just that word of advice…”

For now find him along with his fellow supergroup members out to show they’ve still got the Right Stuff (I had to) for this gig with plenty of shows coming up and a take-home with the new “Coming Home” DVD.

Merry Christmas to us!!

About 6 months ago my HP computer crashed and it crashed hard!! I lost all my concert pictures and video's from our Chicago Show in late June...I was soooo sad, I hadn't had a chance to upload any video's to youtube or the blog or even figure out a way to shoot them over to Stacey (safety in numbers---the number of people who have the video's that is) Well, this weekend my son (he's 7) had a triple-header in baseball and I figured since I was sitting there all day I may as well grab my camera and snap some pictures (for those visit my family blog at www.themiller6.blogspot.com (shameless plug....I know) and today I was pulling pictures off my camera card (that I rarely use cuz my normal one is filled with my brother's wedding photos from 3 weeks ago---long story--not-so-short--I see randomness on this card that look oddly, enough, like photos from Chicago or the cruise or...could it be??? MY VIDEO!!! YIPPEEE!!! I have a few short snip its of the Chicago show to share with ya'll....we'll see if Blogger will cooperate today...I'm so excited though!! MERRY CHRISTMAS..miracles do happen! :)

granted I had almost the WHOLE concert recorded and I have 2 songs recorded now---I'm still thrilled to have them...so enjoy! :)

First Look: NKOTB 'Didn't Want the Reunion to End'

Didn't get a chance to see the New Kids on the Block on tour? Now you can have Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and Jordan and Jonathan Knight in your living room when the group releases its concert DVD on Feb. 2.

From early rehearsals to inside the recording studio, NKOTB's Coming Home DVD is "bringing you back to the very first moment of the reunion step by step until today," Donnie Wahlberg tells PEOPLE. "It's kind of like a yearbook – only from a 15 year high school reunion."

The DVD includes the singers' performance of classics like "Step by Step" – and unseen footage from the groups fan cruise to the Bahamas, where Wahlberg and Wood surprised fans in their cabins. Wahlberg has a soft spot for replaying the fan footage, saying, "the emotion from the fans, in every arena throughout the tour, was so intense," he says. "It gives me chills every time I watch it."

Get ready for more chills, Donnie. The reunion party will continue in 2010 when the boys hit the high seas again on a sold-cruise in May. And there will be ten golden keys hidden in the deluxe and super deluxe DVD box sets that will grant lucky fans two tickets to any future NKOTB concert.

Says Wahlberg: "We hope to find new ways to give our fans no less as we move forward."

Thanksgiving Memories—

It's always a funny thing when people ask me about old family Thanksgiving memories, like I'm just gonna spit out, "Oh boy, there was that time when the drum stick flew out of little Tommy's hand and hit Nana Alice in the noggin. Boy, did we laugh!" I don't have those kinds of memories.

Maybe it's because there was so may of us in the house (11 including parents—and they should be included) that there was always a steady din that filled the air. At any moment, the top could blow off and someone was slamming the door and stomping off down the street—probably a planned exit to meet friends and get out of the house, now, that I think of it. A nice quiet, boring Thanksgiving was always welcome in the Mac household.

Hmmm...maybe I do have memories, I just had to start writing. What I was gonna tell you about was a more obvious Turkey Day memory. It was 1989 and the New Kids were playing Madison Square Garden. I don't know if that's a prestigious night to play. Maybe it points to our ridiculous popularity at the time. Who the hell plays on Thanksgiving?! Us, I guess. I'd hate to be the dad that had to get up off the couch in a turkey coma and go to a concert full of screaming pre-teens. Oy! I love being home for the holidays, especially back then when we were on the road all the time. But to sooth the homesickness, we flew in all our families. Everyone! To New York City. It was a swanky day. A thrill for all of our loved ones to come down to the Big Apple. Plus, we were in The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade—a proud moment for any mother—and mine was front in center in the stands outside of Macy's famous department store. For me and the guys, it was a bit of a grind, as usual. Up at 6:30 in the morning to get on the float and move through the city- a privilege none the less. What a treat!

I remember getting back to my hotel room and collapsing on the bed and not getting up til dinner was ready. It was special to have the four New Kid families together in one room—just celebrating without the fan fare—normal stuff. After dinner we moved out into a reception area, where there happened to be a grand piano. Jordan Knight sat down behind it and led us all through a few holiday songs and a couple acoustic New Kids songs. It was touching and warm and a lovely way to end the evening...Except ours was just beginning!

We were playing the one and only—"the most famous arena in the world", Madison Square Garden. And thank God all those Dads got off the couch, because they brought 16,000 of the cutest, loudest, cryingest girls ever. We had so much to be thankful for that year and still do. This year I look forward to a crowd of about 12 with lots of food, extra sweet potato pie, and some good conversation. I wish you all the same. Bon appetit! (which in America means eat 'til ya burst).

WOW! TOTAL HOTNESS! I don't think there are words to even describe this pic. Okay maybe three words. hmmm hmmm GOOD! I want to say CONGRATULATIONS! to our good friend Jennifer Blake for being picked as the Bonus Winner of Joe's contest to be in this new video. Jen and our other friend Becca (Becca went on the cruise with Janelle and I) flew out to Burbank and were both in the video. We need to talk them into being a guest blogger and telling us their amazing story and share their pics with us. So if you girls read this....PLEASE!
